  31. Please Note: VectorLibrary files created under Freehand 7.0 are not compatible with VectorLibrary running in Freehand 8.0.  If you would like to convert your Library file please follow these steps:
  32. 1.  Open Freehand 7.0 with your current VectorLibrary file
  33. 2.  Place all your Library images in a New document
  34. 3.  Save the document and close Freehand 7.0
  35. 4.  Open the document in Freehand 8.0 and VectorLibrary
  36. 5.  Drag your images into VectorLibrary in Freehand 8.0

  38. - VectorTips have been modified to be more applicable for Freehand 8.0 usage.

  69. Changes in VectorTools for Illustrator 6:
  70. - Fixed a problem in which VectorTools was causing extraneous information to be saved in Illustrator EPS files.
  71. - Fixed a problem in VectorColor and VectorShape which involved the 'Save Preset' dialog; in some situations this dialog could come up off screen.

  74. * Important note for Illustrator 6 users: if you want to save & reuse your customized VectorBar toolbars, remove them from your VectorTools¬ 2.0 folder BEFORE running this installer.  If you don't, the installer will delete them.

  76. Changes in VectorTools for Illustrator 7:
  77. - The preset VectorBars buttons have been updated to work in Illustrator 7.  VectorBar toolbar buttons from Illustrator 6 will NOT work in Illustrator 7 (and vice versa).
  78. - The VectorMagicWand tool is now located on the main Illustrator 7 toolbar.
  79. - VectorFrame, VectorObjectStyles, VectorMagicWand, and VectorColor now support RGB colorspace.
  80. - VectorTips by Ted Alspach have been updated to reflect Illustrator 7 changes.

  82. VectorTools 2.0.1 Installation Instructions:
  83. - When prompted, choose between 'VectorTools for Illustrator 6' and 'VectorTools for Illustrator 7'.  VectorBar toolbar buttons from Illustrator 6 will NOT work in Illustrator 7 (and vice versa), so if you have both versions of Illustrator you'll need to do 2 installations.
  84. - Upon launch of Illustrator, you will be prompted for your serial number.  If you have already serialized & registered your copy of VectorTools 2.0, you'll need to enter your serial number again, but you won't have to register again.

  121. Installing and registering VectorTools
  122. The following folders and files are installed into your Macromedia FreeHand Xtras folder:

Launch Macromedia FreeHand. During the launch, you will be requested to serialize and register the software. Please enter the serial number located on the back of the manual. If you do not have a serial number, you can choose to run VectorTools in demo mode; demo mode allows full functionality for 30 days.

  138. Please register using one of the built-in electronic registration methods. If you do not have a modem, fax/modem, or printer, you may fill out the registration card in the back of the manual.

  140. Microtek Scanners
  141. Microtek scanners may interfere with the built-in electronic registration process. If you are using a Microtek scanner, please turn it off before attempting to register VectorTools. You may turn the scanner back on once the registration process is complete.

  143. Important VectorTools functionality notes with FreeHand
  144. - Version 5.5 of FreeHand does not support drag and drop to and from the VectorLibrary
  145. - Version 7.0 of FreeHand supports drag and drop to and from the VectorLibrary, but to drag into the VectorLibrary, at least a small portion of the VectorLibrary palette must be outside of the current FreeHand document.
  146. - VectorLibrary does not support dragging to the Finder. Attempting to drag to the Finder may produce erratic results.
